Q: Can the videos be viewed in full screen?

A:  Yes, when you subscribe to the ETS Classroom Video Library, all videos can be displayed in full screen. The free preview videos are not displayed in full screen.


Q: Will videos be added to the ETS Classroom Video Library?

A:  Yes. As we capture new classroom videos, they will be added to the online video library and made available to all subscribers at no extra charge. Our vision is to offer a large collection of diverse, authentic videos that reflect teaching in classrooms across the country.


Q: How can I be sure these videos will play properly on my computer?

A:  Be sure to try our free preview videos before you purchase. The preview videos are exactly the same as our licensed videos, except the message stating “PREVIEW ONLY” is removed. If the preview videos work with your Internet connection, then the licensed videos will also work.


Q: Can I play the videos in my classroom using a data projector?

A:  Yes. Many subscribers choose to play the videos in classroom settings for the purpose of enriching discussions of teaching and learning.


Q: I saw a segment of a video that I really liked. How can I quickly return to that short segment?

A:  An easy-to-use online video clipping tool is provided in the system for all subscribers. It provides subscribers with the ability to create, tag, describe and save their own video clips, in their own personal online video clip library for playback later.
 

Q: Is there a limit to the number of video clips I can create and save?

A:  There is no limit. You can create, tag and save as many video clips as you wish.

Q: How will I be able to easily find my video clips?

A: A comprehensive search function is available in your video clip library. You can search not only by grade, setting and subject, but also by the selected tags and descriptive text that you created for each video clip.

Q: Can I share my video clips with colleagues?
A: Yes, you can select the videos clips you wish to share with colleagues in your organization. Video clips cannot be shared outside of your organization.
 

Q: When I play the classroom video, I don’t see a Create Video Clip button. What am I doing wrong?

A:  The Create Video Clip button does not appear in full screen mode. Exit full screen mode to create video clips.
 

Q: Can my video clips be played back in full screen view?

A: Yes.


Q: Do any additional materials accompany the videos?

A:  Yes. Where available, we have collected the instructional artifacts (e.g., lesson plans, student assignments, worksheets) used by the teacher during the class being filmed. You can search videos with artifacts by checking the "Has Artifacts" box. However, only subscribers are provided with the ability to open and view the artifacts.

Q: I am looking for videos with specific instructional content. Do you have a catalog of video clips showing best practice in differentiated instruction in an inclusion classroom?

A:  Currently, our classroom videos are searchable by grade level, subject, setting (rural, suburban, urban) and whether or not they are accompanied by instructional artifacts. The videos are not searchable by instructional content. Future enhancements and features will be guided by subscriber feedback.


Q: Do you sell a DVD with the videos?

A:  No, the video library is only available directly from our website.
